Logistics:
The poster session will be held Tuesday evening immediately following the last talks, and will last until about 8:00.
There will be an open bar (!) and complementary appetizers for all registered attendees. Please be sure and wear your nametag.
Poster authors should plan to be available at their poster for the full session. If you have to leave please arrange to have a temporary 'stand-in' who is familiar with the material.
Posters should be put up between lunch and the afternoon break of that day to be sure they are in place by the time of the session. Please remove all posters by lunch the following day.
Requirements:
We will have the size limits posted soon (dependent on available facilities) so if you are ready to begin and need to know now please contact Cathy Schwemm. The maximum size will probably be 4 x 6 feet, and we strongly discourage multi-part posters (i.e. print it all on one sheet.)
We will provide pins and/or tape as needed.
Suggestions:
Use large text (should be readable from 2 feet)
Make white space your friend.
Organize the poster as you would a paper - Abstract, Background/Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Discussion - and clearly label each section.
Avoid (seriously) large blocks of text and long paragraphs. Use bullets to make points. Text on figures should also be readable from a distance.
Use clear fonts; don't get fancy.
Have a clear, centered title and authorship that can be read in a few seconds.
